Fairmount Staff Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide
Prevention
We
are proud to recognize two of Fairmount’s staff, Shauna Radzieski
and Ashley Cichelli, who will be participating in the Out
of the Darkness Overnight. This is a fundraising walk of up to 18
miles throughout the night in Boston, designed to raise funds and
make a bold statement to bring the issue of suicide out into the
light. The Overnight is organized by the American Foundation for
Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the leading national not-for-profit
organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing
suicide through research and education, and to reaching out to
people with mood disorders and those affected by suicide. The Out of
the Darkness Overnight brings together people with depression and
other mental disorders, survivors of suicide loss, mental health
professionals and advocates walking side-by-side, arm-in-arm,
hand-in-hand, all walking through the night to prevent loss of life
from suicide. Net proceeds will benefit AFSP, to fund research,
education, advocacy, and survivor and awareness programs -- both to
prevent suicide and to assist those impacted by suicide. If you
would like to sponsor either of our staff members, please click on
their respective personal fundraising pages below:
