Fairmount’s “Jeans for Haiti” campaign for the Haitian earthquake victims/survivors

After the devastation in Haiti, everyone at Fairmount Behavioral Health wanted to know what they could do to help. A member of our transportation department, Eric Gates, took it upon himself to get permission to have a fundraiser and then organized the “Jeans for Haiti” campaign during the month of February. With the help of our Operator Staff and the Allied Therapy Department, flyers were created and donations were collected each week throughout February. Those who gave two dollars or more each week were permitted to wear jeans the following Wednesday.

Due to the generous donations of the Fairmount Family we were able to meet our goal and raise just over $1000.00. The money will be divided equally between two organizations dedicated to disaster relief: Doctors without Borders, and Wyclef Jean’s organization, Yele. Thank you to all who donated of their time and purse to this important cause!
