Adolescent Acute PHP

The adolescent acute partial hospitalization program at Fairmount Behavioral Health System is designed to help adolescents (ages 14 to 17) who need psychiatric care that is more structured than outpatient treatment. It is intended to prepare them for a successful return to home or school by addressing the symptoms that can make these transitions so difficult.

Components of Adolescent Acute PHP

  • Close monitoring and medication management by a psychiatrist and registered nurse
  • Group therapy sessions
  • Short-term treatment (average length of stay is two to three weeks)
  • Master-level clinicians who provide personalized treatment planning
  • Medication education and illness awareness groups run by our nursing staff
  • Art and recreational therapy
  • Dedicated clinical staff with strong commitment to family involvement
  • School program: one-hour class led daily by a certified special education teacher

Make a Referral

Please contact our PHP intake coordinator at 215-487-4100 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to make a referral. After hours, please contact our admissions department which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 215-487-4100.

If your adolescent is currently receiving inpatient care, their treatment team or social worker can make a referral through our PHP growth and development manager at 215-487-4080.
